The concept behind a luxury spa in Denver, CO is that of signaling pathways; molecules that act as catalyst to trigger your skin’s healthy function. I took the concept of signaling down to one of its most basic representations, which is a simple waveform. Set on its side with two choice lines thickened out, we get the ‘S’ that doubles as the monogram for the business and its owner, Sameera Ahmed.

Since the logo is taken from a basic sine wave, it was a no brainer to extend that out to a waveform that could extend indefinitely. Then with other waves offset and adjacent, we get this elegant pattern, perfect for business cards, packaging, social media, and anything else that benefits from some clever branding.

It was immediately apparent that Signal was to be a high end spa that leaned more elegant that whimsical. I found a combination of rich golden brown, bright silver, and deep charcoal that work marvelously as a gradient map on photography like that seen here for this Valentine’s Day social media ad.

A template for quick, eye catching social media posts that jive with the brand’s tone and character. This particular template was built for Canva, so that the business owner could easily whip up something for her social media accounts on the fly and still look on brand.

A custom set of photo filters derived from brand colors and assets were put together as that little extra something to push social media posts and advertisements to the next level. The filters help tie all photo material back to the brand, similar to the idea of color grading on a big budget movie, making all the scenes look like they took place at the same place at the same time, even if they didn’t.
